A nice walking along the Via Francigena around Monteriggioni castle to live the experience of a pilgrim in the 10th Century. We will visit its enchanting borough and we will walk on the ancient walls.
Leaving the Via Francigena path, we will explore a mysterious and wild woods recognized as a natural heritage where it is possible to enjoy the flora and fauna, some panoramic viewpoints of Monteriggioni and the oldest segment of the Via Francigena hidden into the vegetation that only local people knows where it is.
We will visit a medieval borough where Sigeric stopped a night during his pilgrimage experience from Rome to Canterbury.
To keep walking on the pilgrim traces we will reach our start point.
