Under the light of Destiny
Saturday May 18 at 5 pm will open “Under the light of Destiny” personal exhibition of Italian artists couple Delta N.A.
The show, curated by Liconi Art Gallery, in collaboration with MM18 association and with the patronage of : Asti City, Asti Province and Piedmonte Region; will take place in the evocative ex Jesus Church, today part of the Paleontologic Museum of Asti, Michelerio Palace.
Delta N.A.’s exhibition will present a panoramic of artworks telling their research journey through the deepest parts of humans’ soul, trying to reach the truth and catch a pure reality, that stands beyond sight, going across the fragile illusion of the world surrounding us.
Delta N.A.’s art was born from the ten years old collaboration of the two artists, working simultaneously on each artwork. This technique was born from the desire of unite feminine and male souls on canvas and quickly brought to awareness that the process of ‘Creating in Unison’ permit them to not just to deepen the knowledge of their spirit, but also to make visible trough art a segment of reality normally hidden to human eyes.
Every artwork come up when artists’ attention, caught by knowledge’s desire, it is dragged in the exploration of a story, that reveals itself step by step through intuitions, visions and dreams. Rational control surrender to let intuition talk directly to artists’ heart through overlapped images and bidimensional figures floating in a no rules time in which desires, dreams and reality coexist in a unique flat surface: human’s life
Delta N.A. believe that art, like a bridge, can connect spirit and body with an ethereal language that tie up word’s ephemeral voice to destiny’s will and through art it is possible to reveal the plot of thin filaments that indissolubly bind the world of dreams and reality to men’s life.
“Art do not talk brain’s language, but heart’s one: this is why it can explain things otherwise inexplicable”
The show will be held in the Ex Jesus Church, part of the list of Italian Places of Heart FAI 2018. The structure, built in the XVI Century was attached to the ancient Clarisse’s convent in a project by Vincenzo Seregno, engineer of the “Fabbrica del Duomo di Milano” ; Of the original church remains visible on the outside the apse and the façade made in cotto tile with two overlapped orders with rhythmic lesenes, crowned by the triangular pediment. On the inside of the ex Church it reveals on the ceiling one of the most powerful decorative challenge of the famed artist from Asti Gian Carlo Aliberti (Canelli, 1670 - Asti, 1727) : the big fresco depicting The Paradise Glory.
The presence on the Church’s Wall of many frescos from the XVI Century depicting intense scenes from The Bible, create a intriguing artistic dialogue with Delta N.A.’s contemporary Artworks, in a timeless continuity between religion and holistic spiritual vision, with secure and well delineated shapes, overlapped in a game of transparences, typical of artworks by the Italian art duo.
The exhibition will take open on May 18, with a vernissage open to the public at 5 pm.
Show will run trough July 17th
